Q: |
Is the 1969 Archetype Yenko a restored or a brand new vehicle? |
A: |
Aside from a handful of parts, which are only available as quality used parts, the 1969 BKPE Archetype Yenko is a brand new automobile. It is partly for this reason, and partly because of the quality of our builds, that we can offer the only bumper-to-bumper warranty in the business. |

Q: |
Why do you use replacement bodies instead of original 1969 Camaro bodies? |
A: |
Simply put, it is cost, time and quality. Original 1969 Camaro bodies are over 40 years old, which means four decades of fatigue, corrosion and abuse. To restore such a body is time consuming and expensive, needlessly delaying delivery of our vehicles to our customers and increasing the price of our product. In addition, replacement bodies are made with modern techniques and quality controls. Comparing an original body to a replacement body makes it clear that the replacement body offers a superior platform from which we build all of our Camaros. |

Q: |
Can I order my Archetype Yenko in colors other than what was originally available in 1969? |
A: |
Unfortunately, no. In the Archetype, we set out to recreate a Camaro that was identical to the original through and through. This necessarily means that we are limited in our color pallet. |

|
Q: |
May I have you modify the Archetype Yenko beyond its BKPE specifications? |
A: |
While we do offer 38 options for you to equip your Archetype Yenko as you see fit, we do not allow our customers to further modify the vehicle as that would defeat the purpose of producing a replica vehicle. However, if you desire a vehicle that is faithful on the outside and inside to the original, but has more performance, we encourage you to check out the 1969 BKPE Camaro Xtreme. |

Q: |
Are there any differences between a factory Yenko and the Archetype Yenko? |
A: |
Yes, in two significant respects. It would be impossible to recreate all of the part number stampings and date codes that would be found on the parts of a factory Yenko. Thus, to a professional authenticator, there will be slight cosmetic differences that will distinguish the BKPE vehicle from its factory counterpart.
In addition, we did not concern ourselves with copying the original when it came to parts that would not be visible to the client. Thus, for example, we use Electric-Life power window motors instead of OE motors as they are hidden behind the door panels and are more reliable. For another example, the engine internals for the 427 are unseen and thus not necessarily identical to their factory counterparts. However, in all cases where we used non-OE-style parts, we used higher quality parts than the factory parts. |

Q: |
Can I get you to build me an Archetype Yenko based on either a 1967 or 1968 Camaro? |
A: |
Absolutely, though there may be an up-charge for the additional research and development necessary to build such a vehicle. Simply let your PSR know during your initial telephone conversation that you wish to order either a 1967 or 1968 Camaro as the foundation for your Archetype Yenko. |
